With two decades of experience in banking and finance, Lin has a comprehensive understanding of how to structure capital project investment to ensure it has the best possible return on investment.  Lin’s experience in the energy supply, generation, networks and IT sectors enables her to offer clients in-depth analysis on the energy segmental development in Europe. Lin served as finance lead on energy projects up to €1bn across Europe. Land mark projects include Shetland HVDC Link, Viking Link Interconnector, Afton onshore wind farm etc. They involved extensive negotiation among project developers, EPC contractors, and owner operators.

Her experience in creating and validating unique complex financial models for project feasibility and bidding are critical for project investment decisions and internal governance. Having previously worked in the functions of Financial Control, Investment & Risk, Strategy & Regulation and Corporate Banking, companies benefiting from Lin’s guidance include Alexa Capital, National Grid, E.ON, Capita IT & Networks, and Bank of China in Shanghai. 

Lin is a charted certified accountant. She has a Doctorate Degree in Corporate Finance from Cranfield University,  a Masters Degree from Lancaster University and a BA degree from Shanghai International Studies University. Lin relocated to the UK from Shanghai about 20 years ago and speaks fluent Mandarin and English.
